Abstract
Aorto-mesenteric clamp syndrome and nutcracker syndrome are rare but their association is classic, occurring following compression of the duodenum and the left renal vein in a narrowed aorto-mesenteric space. The predisposing factors are multiple, and the positive diagnosis is based on the CT scan which is the key examination. Surgical treatment is often indicated given the lack of improvement under medical treatment in the majority of patients. We report the case of an 11-year-old child who presented aortomesenteric clamp syndrome associated with nutcracker syndrome following his significant weight loss during his stay in intensive care. The diagnosis was easily retained thanks to the abdominal CT scan with injection of contrast product.
